EP Consulting successfully delivered an £850k new build kennel block for the RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre in Leicester. This project encompassed the design and installation of essential systems, including mains distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarm systems, heating, and water services and was delivered within 35 weeks.

Scope of Work

Our team handled the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and budget costing to mechanical and electrical design. We ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations, delivering a comprehensive infrastructure featuring low-pressure hot water heating and efficient water management systems.

Challenges and Solutions

Designing a facility that meets both animal welfare standards and regulatory requirements presented unique challenges. EP Consulting addressed these by integrating advanced systems for environmental control and safety. We installed internal and external lighting and a responsive fire alarm system, optimising energy efficiency and ensuring a secure environment for animals and staff.
