TAG Active
Overview
EP Consulting played a key role in the remodelling and refurbishment of the Sherwood Forest TAG Challenge Arena. Working alongside the project team, our building services engineers delivered sustainable and efficient mechanical and electrical design solutions to transform the existing space into a new visitor attraction. Our focus was on enhancing comfort, energy efficiency, and user experience while maintaining the unique character of the site.
Scope of Work
We provided full mechanical and electrical design services, including the specification and integration of enhanced LED lighting systems and upgraded environmental controls. These improvements ensured better illumination for visitors and energy-efficient operation throughout the facility. Our work also supported the remodelling of internal spaces, providing modern, functional areas that align with the Arena’s operational and sustainability goals.
Challenges and Solutions
Working within an existing, operational site required careful coordination and phased delivery to minimise disruption. Our engineers designed adaptable systems to integrate seamlessly with the building’s infrastructure, optimising performance without extensive structural changes.
Results and Impact
The newly formed TAG Challenge Arena now benefits from a brighter, more energy-efficient environment with improved comfort and control. EP Consulting’s practical, sustainable approach helped deliver a high-quality finish that supports the venue’s long-term operational efficiency and visitor satisfaction.
