Dronfield Leisure Centre Refurbishment and Upgrade

EP Consulting delivered comprehensive building services engineering for the £1.75m refurbishment of Dronfield Leisure Centre. This extensive upgrade revitalised the facility with a new five-lane swimming pool, gymnasium, fitness suite, and improved plant areas.

Scope of Work

Our role included feasibility studies, budget costing, and full mechanical and electrical design. We incorporated underfloor heating, passive ventilation systems, BMS controls, and advanced panic/drowning alarms. Compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations was a key focus, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.

Challenges and Solutions

The 40-week project required careful planning to integrate diverse systems within the existing structure. We addressed these challenges by ensuring all installations met high performance and safety standards while minimising disruption to existing operations.
