EP Consulting is thrilled to present our recent project at Center Parcs Longleat Forest. Our team delivered a £6 million, six-phase extension and refurbishment of the Aqua Sana Spa, incorporating a cutting-edge 1.5 MW Energy Centre with combined heat and power.

Scope of Work

In this transformative project, EP Consulting delivered a comprehensive range of services including feasibility studies, budget costing, and mechanical and electrical design. We engineered the new Energy Centre to enhance the spa’s capabilities and introduced low carbon and zero carbon installations. Our engineers produced a thermal model for the building to ensure optimal energy efficiency and sustainability, created a BRUKL report and ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.

The renovation has created a luxurious Forest Spa with five distinctive zones: Nordic Forest, Hot Springs, Volcanic Forest, Treetop Nesting, and Forest Immersion, each reflecting unique global climates.

Challenges and Solutions

The project’s complexity, spanning multiple phases and sophisticated systems, required meticulous planning and execution. We addressed these challenges by designing a powerful Energy Centre to meet the spa's high demands and integrating advanced solutions for heating, cooling, and energy management. Our expertise ensured that features such as outdoor hot tubs, footbaths, relaxation areas, and a heated outdoor pool were seamlessly integrated into the spa’s natural theme.

Results and Impact

The newly refurbished Aqua Sana Spa offers an exceptional retreat experience, merging modern luxury with nature-inspired elements. The successful completion of this redevelopment underscores our commitment to creating energy-efficient environments that enhance guest experiences at Center Parcs.
