Center Parcs, Elveden Forest, Aqua Sana and Vitalé Café

EP Consulting is thrilled to unveil the £7.7 million refurbishment of Aqua Sana Spa and Vitalé Café at Center Parcs, Elveden Forest. This extensive renovation has transformed the spa into a luxurious retreat, offering a serene escape inspired by forests around the world. With five distinct zones and 25 experiences, the spa now provides a range of sensory journeys, from tropical warmth to arctic chill, creating a true forest-inspired sanctuary.

Scope of Work

Our role in this project encompassed detailed mechanical and electrical design for both Aqua Sana Spa and Vitalé Café. The spa’s upgrade included designing and implementing systems for five distinct zones—Nordic Forest, Hot Springs, Volcanic Forest, Treetop Nesting, and Forest Immersion. These zones feature outdoor hot tubs, a heated outdoor pool, and footbaths, all crafted to replicate natural environments.

We redesigned Vitalé Café with a new kitchen ventilation system, advanced heating, air handling and water services. Additionally, we handled a full suite of electrical work, including mains and sub-mains distribution, trunking and conduit, lighting, emergency lighting, external lighting, small power, and telephone/data systems. We also updated fire alarm, intruder alarm systems, and lightning protection systems, ensuring compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.

Challenges and Solutions

Integrating luxurious spa experiences with sustainable, low-carbon technologies was achieved by incorporating energy-efficient systems and precise design for heating and cooling within each themed zone. For Vitalé Café, we needed to ensure optimal ventilation and safety while maintaining high functionality. Our solution involved a tailored approach to both design and installation, resulting in systems that meet rigorous performance and safety standards and enhanced overall efficiency.

Results and Impact

The refurbishment has successfully transformed Aqua Sana Spa and Vitalé Café into eco-friendly, luxurious environments that significantly enhance the guest experience. The spa now offers a variety of immersive, nature-inspired experiences, while the café benefits from a state-of-the-art kitchen and advanced electrical systems.
