Center Parcs Aqua Sana, Crafting a Forest Spa Retreat

EP Consulting is thrilled to showcase our latest project: the £3 million extension and refurbishment of the Aqua Sana at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest. Our work has transformed the wet-side area into a serene Forest Spa, featuring nature-inspired experiences across six distinct zones.

Scope of Work

Our comprehensive involvement in this project included a full mechanical and electrical design package, ensuring that every aspect of the new Forest Spa concept was meticulously planned and executed. We conducted thorough feasibility studies and budget costing and provided detailed designs for the Forest Floor and Forest Canopy zones. This encompassed integrating Nordic Forest, Hot Springs, and Volcanic Forest with Treetop Escape, Treetop Nesting, and Forest Immersion. Additionally, we produced a thermal model to ensure optimal energy efficiency, created a BRUKL report and ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.

Challenges and Solutions

Designing a spa with diverse heating and cooling experiences, outdoor jacuzzies, foot spas, relaxation areas, and a heated outdoor pool presented unique challenges. We addressed these by implementing advanced mechanical and electrical systems tailored to the spa’s intricate requirements. Our team provided on-site supervision to ensure seamless integration and addressed any issues promptly to maintain the project’s high standards.

Results and Impact

The newly refurbished Aqua Sana offers a luxurious and immersive Forest Spa experience, enhancing the leisure and relaxation options at Sherwood Forest.
