St Barnabas Hospice Warehouse, Grantham

Overview

EP Consulting was proud to provide the mechanical and electrical building services design for the new St Barnabas Hospice Warehouse on Dysart Road, Grantham.

Replacing the charity's long-standing retail premises on Welby Street, the new warehouse has been designed to create a modern destination for shoppers, donors and volunteers. The development will help St Barnabas Hospice expand its retail operation, increase donations and generate vital funding to support free hospice care across Lincolnshire.

The Challenge

Following the success of the St Barnabas Hospice Warehouse in Lincoln, the charity sought to replicate the concept in Grantham by relocating to a larger premises capable of supporting future growth.

The new warehouse needed to provide a welcoming retail environment, improve the handling of donated goods and create an efficient, sustainable building that would serve the charity and the local community for many years to come.

Our Solution

EP Consulting delivered the mechanical and electrical building services design, working collaboratively with the wider project team to develop practical, reliable and energy-efficient building services solutions.

Our designs were developed to create a comfortable environment for customers, volunteers and staff while ensuring the building operates efficiently and supports the charity's long-term operational requirements.

Building on the success of the charity's Lincoln Warehouse, which has raised more than £2.1 million, sold over 580,000 items and diverted 233 tonnes of reusable goods from landfill. The new Grantham Warehouse is expected to deliver similar long-term benefits for both the charity and the local community.
