Heydour Parish Village Hall £750k Refurbishment

EP Consulting played a key role in the £750k "Hut to Hall" project, transforming the historic First World War Officers’ Mess Hut into a modern, single-storey village hall in Aisby. Funded by the Big Lottery, this project enhances community facilities with a versatile space.

Scope of Work

We provided complete M&E design services, including feasibility studies, budget costing, and compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations. Our expertise ensured efficient mechanical and electrical systems tailored to the hall’s needs. We produced a thermal model for the building to ensure optimal energy efficiency, created a BRUKL report and ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.

Challenges and Solutions

Replacing a historic hut with a modern facility posed challenges in balancing historical respect with modern efficiency. Our team designed solutions that integrated contemporary systems while maintaining the hall's functional versatility.

Results and Impact

The new Heydour Parish Village Hall now offers a flexible and energy-efficient space for community events and activities. EP Consulting’s meticulous design and regulatory adherence ensured a successful transition from a historic structure to a modern community hub.
