Gorse Covert Community Centre Extension and Refurbishment

EP Consulting provided expert building services engineering for the £800k refurbishment and extension of Gorse Covert Community Centre in Loughborough, commissioned by Charnwood Borough Council. Our role encompassed a full range of services to upgrade and expand the existing facility.

Scope of Work

Our team handled mechanical and electrical design, feasibility studies, and budget costing. We produced a thermal model for the building to ensure optimal energy efficiency, created a BRUKL report and ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.

Challenges and Solutions

The project required modernising the existing centre while adding new space. Our design solutions integrated advanced systems and energy-efficient measures, addressing both functional and regulatory requirements.
