Witham Court Refurbishment for Specialist Older Adult Mental Health Care

EP Consulting managed the £200k mechanical and electrical design for the refurbishment of Witham Court in North Hykeham. This project, undertaken for Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, focused on creating a secure and supportive environment for dementia and specialist older adult mental health patients.

Scope of Work

Our responsibilities included feasibility studies, budget costing, and comprehensive mechanical and electrical design. We integrated anti-ligature features to enhance safety and ensure compliance with HBN 03-01, HTMs and Part L2 Building Regulations. The 20-week project aimed to provide a safe and functional space tailored to the needs of vulnerable patients.

Challenges and Solutions

The key challenge was to retrofit the facility with advanced safety features while maintaining operational efficiency. Our team successfully implemented anti-ligature solutions and modernised the facility's infrastructure, addressing both safety and functionality.
