Enhancing Energy Efficiency and Functionality at Huthwaite Surgery

EP Consulting delivered expert consultancy for the £150k internal alterations at Huthwaite Surgery in Sutton in Ashfield, commissioned by Nottinghamshire Healthcare (NHS) Trust. Our role ensured that the updates to the existing surgery were completed to the highest standards, enhancing both functionality and compliance.

Scope of Work

We managed feasibility studies, budget costing, and detailed mechanical and electrical design. Our team acted as the client representative, overseeing site meetings, reviewing sub-contractor designs for compliance with client requirements, and supervising the installation of an automatic door and hot water system upgrades. We also provided expert advice on costs and witnessed the final commissioning.

Challenges and Solutions

The 12-week project involved integrating new systems within an operational surgery minimising disruption while meeting all regulatory standards. We produced a thermal model for the building to ensure optimal energy efficiency, created a BRUKL report and ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.
