Barrow Health Centre Extension and Modernisation

EP Consulting is proud to have enhanced the Barrow Health Centre in Barrow upon Soar through a £700k extension and refurbishment for Leicestershire County & Rutland Health Service. This project significantly improved the facility's capacity and functionality, benefiting the local community with upgraded healthcare services.

Scope of Work

Our role included feasibility studies, budget costing, and full mechanical and electrical design. Partnering with Focus Consultants, we ensured the extension complied with Part L2 Building Regulations. Over the 26-week project, we successfully integrated modern systems into the existing infrastructure, elevating the health centre’s service capabilities.

Challenges and Solutions

Expanding and altering an active health centre required meticulous planning to minimise disruption. Our engineers addressed these challenges by implementing efficient mechanical and electrical systems that seamlessly integrated with the existing setup. Compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations was achieved through innovative design solutions aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and functionality.
