Blending Heritage with Sustainable Innovation at Roecliffe Manor
EP Consulting is proud to have played a pivotal role in the £2.1m refurbishment of the Grade 2 listed Roecliffe Manor, nestled in Woodhouse Eaves. This ambitious project transformed a historic manor house into a modern family residence in 40 weeks, seamlessly blending heritage preservation with state-of-the-art amenities. With a focus on sustainability and cost efficiency, the manor now features a luxurious home cinema, a dedicated server room, a pool with solar thermal heating, underfloor heating, and a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP).
Scope of Work
Our team led the charge in feasibility studies, budget costing, and the complete mechanical and electrical design. We expertly integrated low-carbon and zero-carbon installations, ensuring compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations. We produced a thermal model for the building to ensure optimal energy efficiency, created a BRUKL report and ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.
Challenges and Solutions
Revamping a Grade 2 listed building required innovative approaches to retain its historical character while meeting modern energy demands. Our engineers devised customised mechanical and electrical solutions, integrating renewable energy technologies like solar thermal panels to reduce operational costs. The GSHP and underfloor heating further exemplify our commitment to eco-friendly, sustainable design.
