New Pancake House for Center Parcs Elveden Forest
EP Consulting delivered expert building services engineering for the conversion of the existing Venue Conference Suites into a vibrant new Pancake House at Center Parcs Elveden Forest. This £1.1m project marks our second Pancake House project with Center Parcs, showcasing our ability to efficiently handle large-scale, high-profile transformations within tight timescales.
Scope of Work
Our team provided a comprehensive range of engineering services, including mechanical ventilation, LPHW distribution, water services, above-ground drainage, and comfort cooling installations. We also managed the modification of sprinkler systems and controls installations. Electrical works included the distribution of electrical supply, sub-mains cables, lighting and emergency lighting, and full wiring for kitchen and servery equipment, along with fire alarm and music systems. All services were designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, meeting the project’s requirements for comfort, safety, and functionality.
Challenges and Solutions
One of the key challenges was working within the existing building's infrastructure while accommodating the specific needs of a new dining venue. We ensured minimal disruption to operations during the 52-week project period, addressing technical complexities around ventilation and heating. By implementing innovative design solutions and efficient project management, we were able to provide a seamless transition from conference suites to restaurant.
Results and Impact
The new Pancake House at Elveden Forest is now a fully operational, energy-efficient dining space.
