EP Consulting is proud to have delivered the refurbishment and extension of the Vitalé Café Bar within the Aqua Sana at Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest. This £750k project showcases our expertise in delivering high-quality building services engineering solutions for the hospitality sector.

Scope of Work

The project involved the design and installation of a new catering kitchen ventilation system, including heating distribution, air handling units, water services, and sprinkler services. Additionally, we implemented a new proprietary controls system and carried out all electrical works, such as mains/sub-mains distribution, trunking and conduit, lighting, emergency lighting, external lighting, small power, telephone/additional data systems, and modifications to fire alarm and intruder alarm systems, along with a lightning protection system.

Challenges and Solutions

Completing this project within the 11-week timeframe required meticulous planning and coordination. Our team conducted detailed feasibility studies, budget costing, and precise mechanical and electrical designs. The integration of new systems into the existing structure demanded innovative engineering solutions to ensure seamless functionality and compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations. Close collaboration with the architect, Jackson Design Associates and the project manager at Center Parcs ensured all aspects of the refurbishment met the high standards required.

Results and Impact

The Vitalé Café Bar refurbishment was completed on time and within budget, enhancing the Aqua Sana experience for Center Parcs guests. The new catering kitchen and improved facilities now provide a more efficient and enjoyable environment for both staff and visitors.
