EP Consulting played a key role in the £90k redesign project of the second floor at Derbyshire Constabulary's D Division Headquarters, transforming outdated spaces into modern office environments.
Scope of Work
Our project involved a comprehensive redesign of the second floor, converting the existing kitchen, canteen, and bar areas into functional office spaces and kitchens for 80 additional staff members. We also redeveloped the first floor to expand office space by converting two existing storerooms into new work areas. EP Consulting provided full mechanical and electrical (M&E) design services, ensuring compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations.
Challenges and Solutions
Redesigning occupied spaces required meticulous planning to minimise disruption to ongoing operations. EP Consulting addressed these challenges with thorough feasibility studies and budget costing, delivering a practical and efficient M&E design. Our approach ensured a smooth transition with minimal impact on daily activities.
Results and Impact
The redesign, completed in 12 weeks, has greatly enhanced the functionality and capacity of the D Division Headquarters. The newly created office spaces and kitchens effectively support the additional staff, improving operational efficiency and accommodating the Constabulary's growing needs.
