EP Consulting delivered essential mechanical and electrical services for the new £600k Starbucks Café at the University of Nottingham's Jubilee Campus. This project was designed to create a modern, efficient, and comfortable café environment for students and staff.
Scope of Work
Our team developed comprehensive M&E service tender drawings and specifications, covering all aspects of the new building’s infrastructure. The scope included lighting, emergency lighting, 13A power, mains distribution, sub-metering according to the University’s requirements, fire alarm installation, access control, disabled toilet alarm system, heating, air conditioning, hot and cold-water services, and gas services.
Challenges and Solutions
Working within the tight timeframe of 20 weeks, EP Consulting coordinated closely with the University of Nottingham’s architectural and project management teams to ensure timely and seamless integration of all M&E services. Our expertise ensured compliance with Part L2 Building Regulations, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability throughout the design process.
