Transforming Heritage for Future Generations at Loughborough Grammar School
Loughborough Grammar School is undergoing a remarkable transformation, blending its rich heritage with modern innovation. Our team of building services engineers are proud to play a crucial role in the refurbishment of the iconic Grade II listed Tower complex, a project that promises to preserve the school's historical significance while enhancing its facilities for future generations.
The refurbishment aims to revitalise the Sixth Form Centre, creating a fresh, bright, and welcoming environment with university-style surroundings. One of the key features of this project is a bespoke feature ceiling, designed to maximize natural light and enhance the ambiance of new social spaces, meeting rooms, and private workspaces.
Loughborough Grammar School, one of the oldest independent schools in the UK, has a storied history dating back to 1495. It was founded through a bequest from Thomas Burton, a local wool merchant, whose endowment to the town’s Parish Church led to the school's establishment.
