Oakham Castle Restoration Project

E P Consulting has been appointed to produce the M&E designs for the second phase of the product supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore the 12th Century Oakham Castle to create a cultural centre for Rutland. The project will require a great deal of thought and consideration to ensure the M&E services are sympathetically designed to blend with the structure of the building. The works consist of external and internal lighting solutions, services for a newly formed toilet block and storage facility together with the associated drainage and heating works, and an exhibition fit out to interpret the Castle and its history. Part of the remit is to also ensure the future economic and environmental sustainability of the Castle.
