Construction Begins on £15m Sustainable Community Health Hub in Belper, Derbyshire
EP Consulting is proud to announce the start of construction on a new £15m community health services hub in Belper, Derbyshire. The hub, commissioned by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, aims to become a model for sustainable healthcare infrastructure in the UK.
Jamie Hallam, Director of EP Consulting, attended the recent turf-cutting ceremony, marking the official launch of this cutting-edge project. As the mechanical and electrical engineering partner, EP Consulting is playing a key role in delivering energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable solutions for the facility.

The Belper health hub is designed to meet BREEAM excellent standards, incorporating advanced renewable energy solutions such as photovoltaic panels and the use of eco-friendly materials. The facility is a prime example of how modern healthcare infrastructure can be both innovative and sustainable and underscores our commitment to sustainable engineering.
Comprehensive Health Services Under One Roof
Once completed, the health hub will offer a wide range of services, including community nursing, midwifery clinics, podiatry services, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, continence advisory services, wound care, and phlebotomy. The facility will feature 15 consulting rooms, six treatment rooms, a health education group room, and various other essential amenities.
