Celebrating 55 Years of Engineering Excellence

We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating 55 years in engineering, marking a journey from a small practice of three engineers in 1971 to a team delivering mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across the UK and Europe.

Founded in Nottingham in 1971 as Howard, Edwards & Partners, the business has evolved alongside the building services industry. What began before the internet and modern digital design tools has grown into a consultancy supporting businesses, NHS facilities, hospitals, councils and local authorities.

Today, EP Consulting provides mechanical and electrical design, HVAC, public health engineering, renewable energy and carbon management services. Sustainability remains a key focus, helping clients consider energy efficiency and lower-carbon solutions in the buildings they operate and develop.

The past 55 years have brought enormous changes in technology, building regulations and environmental priorities. Yet the importance of practical engineering expertise, trusted relationships and high-quality service remains constant.

As EP Consulting celebrates this milestone, the company would like to thank its clients, colleagues and project partners, past and present, for being part of its journey.
