Alan Latham Retires After Nearly 50 Years in Engineering

This month, we say a fond farewell to our Director, Alan Latham, as he retires after an outstanding career spanning almost five decades in building services engineering.

Alan began his journey in 1976 as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice. Joining EP Consulting in 1985 as a Mechanical Design Engineer, he built a reputation for technical excellence, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to quality, energy efficiency, and sustainable building design.

Since becoming Director of EP Consulting in 2000, Alan has led projects across NHS hospitals, heritage buildings, commercial properties and public sector facilities, delivering innovative mechanical and electrical design solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

Beyond his technical achievements, Alan’s legacy includes the many engineers and colleagues he has mentored and inspired throughout his career.

We thank Alan for his outstanding contribution to EP Consulting and the wider industry — and we wish him a long, happy, and well-earned retirement, with plenty of time to enjoy life, family, and the golf course.
