EP Consulting have an exciting new permanent vacancy for a Intermediate Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join our team of engineers at its office in Nottingham.

EP Consulting currently have a number of high profile projects we are working on with ‘blue chip’ clients in both the public and private sector, and as a result there is an opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate Electrical Building Services Design Engineer
As part of our team you will be actively involved in assisting in the delivery of the following services:
• design services for projects up to the value of £16m;
• preparation of performance / full design specifications and drawings;
• valuation of contractors’ design proposals;
• quality monitoring;
• site inspections; and
• condition surveys and strategic life cycle appraisals.

Working with a diverse range of clients within the retail, education, commercial, leisure and health sectors as part of a design team, candidates must have a desire to work towards full professional membership, with support from our existing qualified staff.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of:
• three years full design experience in a consultancy environment;
• be conversant with Microsoft Office;
• have experience of using building services design packages such as Amtech or Relux / Dialux;
• be able to demonstrate initiative to work independently as well as within a team environment;
• have a good understanding of electrical building services;
• be AutoCAD competent; and
• have a desire to learn to further their career.
